Basic Microsoft Word 2010 Lessons 1-3
There are three lessons in this series, aimed at students from 6-8th grades. These lessons will give the rudimentary basics of Microsoft Word. They do not come in a bundle due to file side restrictions, but the first lesson is FREE! All three lessons come with step by step directions in writing and by video.
Advanced Microsoft Word 2010 Lessons
I have created video lessons in Microsoft Word designed for grades 8-12. These lessons each include a video that teaches each concept but does NOT take them through the assignment. Students may watch the video again and again as needed to remember how to do each step as given in the written assignment. The process of watching, repeating, and performing the action takes longer but is much more effective in helping students truly understand the program and retain what they learn.
The lessons can be purchased singly or in three bundles. The image to the right will take you the first bundle with lessons 1-5. You can read about what is specifically in each lesson in the TPT Store. |
Advanced Microsoft Word 2013 Lessons
My 2013 lessons follow the same idea as my 2010 lessons and are made for the same audience but with some improvements. They are NEW lessons--not the same lessons as 2010 but updated. The videos included also have a table of contents so students can skip the the part they need and it's easier for them to get through the assignment quicker.
The lessons are sold singly or in two bundles. The image to the right will take you to the first bundle. You can read about what is specifically in each lesson in the TPT Store. |
MICROSOFT EXCEL
Basic Microsoft Excel 2010 Lessons 1-3
This set of three lessons is designed for grades 6-8 and will give the rudimentary basics in Excel. Each lesson builds on the one previously. It does include graphs and charts as well. Each lesson comes with written instructions and a step by step video, which is great for absent students!

MICROSOFT POWERPOINT
Basic PowerPoint 2010 Lessons 1-3
In this series, students progressively improve their PowerPoint skills in these assignments. The first teaches the basics in PowerPoint and lays the groundwork. Assignment 2 is SO MUCH FUN!!! The students use advanced features in the animation ribbon to create a video game! The final assignment is also a lot of fun, using hyperlinks and buttons to create a "Choose Your Own Adventure" story! All are classroom tested and have been very successful with kids! These are designed for grades 6-8, but I have done assignments 2 & 3 with 9th graders as well with great success. All three lessons have step by step instructional videos included.
Advanced PowerPoint 2010 Lessons 1-2
This series was designed for students 8-12 grades. The first assignment teaches the basics of PowerPoint by video. Students open a PowerPoint and make changes to it according to the instructions. Includes a rubric for grading. In the second assignment, students create a non-linear hyperlinked report on a related school subject. There is a step by step video in both lessons.

Advanced PowerPoint 2013 Lessons 1-3
This PowerPoint series for 2013 takes a new approach that is a lot of fun! Students take an already created PowerPoint that is about making a good PowerPoint but is actually a REALLY bad one full of annoying sounds, colors, and animations, and change it into an effective PowerPoint. The first lesson is free--students look at the PowerPoint and determine what rules were broken and what needs to be changed. There is a full lecture video if you would prefer to have them do this on their own. The second lesson teaches them HOW to do this, also with a video, and students actually change the PowerPoint. Lesson 3 is actually almost identical to Lesson 2 in the 2010 version--the video is new, using 2013, and the rubric is updated and much better. But the assignment itself is essentially the same.
